This role involves cross-site working between Carlisle and Whitehaven, providing specialist assessment, management and treatment for adults with communication and/or swallowing difficulties.</p> <p data-start="822" data-end="1162">This position is suitable for a Band 6 therapist with solid acute experience or an experienced Band 7 clinician who is confident working autonomously across a range of settings. You will play a vital role in supporting adults across the acute pathway as well as within community services, contributing to high-quality, patient-centred care.</p> <hr data-start="1164" data-end="1167"> <h2 data-start="1169" data-end="1194">Key Responsibilities</h2> <p data-start="1195" data-end="1220">In this role, you will:</p> <ul data-start="1221" data-end="1770"> <li data-start="1221" data-end="1371"> <p data-start="1223" data-end="1371">Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment for adults with communication and swallowing disorders across acute and community settings.</p> </li> <li data-start="1372" data-end="1468"> <p data-start="1374" data-end="1468">Manage a varied caseload, supporting patients across different stages of their care pathway.</p> </li> <li data-start="1469" data-end="1568"> <p data-start="1471" data-end="1568">Work cross-site between Carlisle and Whitehaven, adapting service delivery to meet local needs.</p> </li> <li data-start="1569" data-end="1661"> <p data-start="1571" data-end="1661">Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across hospital and community services.</p> </li> <li data-start="1662" data-end="1770"> <p data-start="1664" data-end="1770">Maintain accurate, timely and professional clinical records in line with NHS and professional standards.</p> </li> </ul> <hr data-start="1772" data-end="1775"> <h2 data-start="1777" data-end="1811">Qualifications and Experience</h2> <p data-start="1812" data-end="1860">To be considered for this role, you must have:</p> <ul data-start="1861" data-end="2376"> <li data-start="1861" data-end="1967"> <p data-start="1863" data-end="1967">Band 6–level experience (or above) working with adults with communication and swallowing difficulties.</p> </li> <li data-start="1968" data-end="2067"> <p data-start="1970" data-end="2067">Experience across acute adult settings, with the ability to contribute to community-based care.</p> </li> <li data-start="2068" data-end="2184"> <p data-start="2070" data-end="2184">HCPC registration and eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).</p> </li> <li data-start="2185" data-end="2256"> <p data-start="2187" data-end="2256">Strong clinical reasoning, organisational and communication skills.</p> </li> <li data-start="2257" data-end="2376"> <p data-start="2259" data-end="2376">A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, with the ability to travel across Cumbria between service sites.</p> </li> </ul> <hr data-start="2378" data-end="2381"> <h2 data-start="2383" data-end="2405">Why Choose Pulse?</ ...
