<p><strong>Job Title</strong>: Locum Community Physiotherapist<br><strong>Band</strong>: 5<br><strong>Rate</strong>: £19-22 per hour<br><strong>Location</strong>: Sutton<br><strong>Working Hours</strong>: 3 days/21.5 hours per week<br><strong>Start Date</strong>: ASAP, with potential extension until March 2025 pending approval</p>
<p>We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Community Physiotherapist to join the Respiratory team in Sutton. The role involves working with patients with long-term respiratory conditions, providing therapeutic assessments and delivering individualized treatment programs within the community setting. As part of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), you will work independently during community visits and be responsible for managing your own caseload. This position requires experience in respiratory and pulmonary rehabilitation and a commitment to delivering high-quality care to patients in a variety of community-based settings.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>:<br>As a Locum Community Physiotherapist, you will provide high-quality physiotherapy interventions within the community respiratory service, working in a range of clinical settings such as community centers and health centers. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, delivering therapeutic interventions, and supporting the pulmonary rehabilitation program under the guidance of senior therapists. Your role will also involve delivering patient education talks, participating in audits and research, and making recommendations to improve clinical practice. You will work autonomously, managing your caseload, with supervision provided through case reviews and peer review. The position requires regular travel within the borough and the ability to work independently in the community.</p>
<p><strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong>:</p>
<ul>
<li>Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy</li>
<li>HCPC registration</li>
<li>Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)</li>
<li>Experience in pulmonary rehabilitation and respiratory physiotherapy</li>
<li>Previous NHS experience, including graduate/undergraduate placements</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and as part of the MDT</li>
<li>Strong communication skills with patients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team</li>
<li>Knowledge of assessment tools and outcome measures</li>
<li>Ability to work unsupervised during community visits</li>
<li>Car driver essential</li>
<li>Ability to travel frequently throughout the Borough</li>
<li>Experience in evidence-based audits and contributing to service improvements</li>
<li>Flexibility to work 5 days over a 7-day working week as the service demands</li>
