This flexible role offers either a full-time split post across mainstream and ASD provisions, or a part-time position (3 days per week) working solely within the mainstream school.</p> <p data-start="833" data-end="1266">You will support children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and a range of Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), working closely with school staff and families to help pupils achieve their communication and learning goals. This opportunity is suitable for Band 6 or Band 7 therapists looking for flexibility while working within a supportive educational setting. Experience with dysphagia is welcomed but not essential.</p> <hr data-start="1268" data-end="1271"> <h3 data-start="1273" data-end="1299">Key Responsibilities</h3> <p data-start="1300" data-end="1325">In this role, you will:</p> <ul data-start="1326" data-end="1940"> <li data-start="1326" data-end="1451"> <p data-start="1328" data-end="1451">Assess, diagnose, and treat children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs in mainstream and ASD school settings.</p> </li> <li data-start="1452" data-end="1576"> <p data-start="1454" data-end="1576">Deliver individualised, evidence-based therapy interventions to support communication, learning, and social development.</p> </li> <li data-start="1577" data-end="1682"> <p data-start="1579" data-end="1682">Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, parents/carers, and the wider multi-disciplinary team.</p> </li> <li data-start="1683" data-end="1740"> <p data-start="1685" data-end="1740">Contribute to EHCPs, reviews, and progress reporting.</p> </li> <li data-start="1741" data-end="1837"> <p data-start="1743" data-end="1837">Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in line with professional standards.</p> </li> <li data-start="1838" data-end="1940"> <p data-start="1840" data-end="1940">Use dysphagia management skills where appropriate and within your scope of practice (if applicable).</p> </li> </ul> <hr data-start="1942" data-end="1945"> <h3 data-start="1947" data-end="1982">Qualifications and Experience</h3> <p data-start="1983" data-end="2031">To be considered for this role, you must have:</p> <ul data-start="2032" data-end="2504"> <li data-start="2032" data-end="2103"> <p data-start="2034" data-end="2103">A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).</p> </li> <li data-start="2104" data-end="2220"> <p data-start="2106" data-end="2220">HCPC registration and eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).</p> </li> <li data-start="2221" data-end="2314"> <p data-start="2223" data-end="2314">Experience working with children with ASC a ...
