Many pupils also present with additional needs such as ADHD, Down syndrome, and significant language challenges.</p> <p data-start="717" data-end="965">The school is set within an exceptional seventy-eight-acre site, offering extensive green spaces, woodlands, a Forest School, and purpose-built playground and sports areas—creating a therapeutic and enriching environment for pupils and staff alike.</p> <p data-start="967" data-end="1171">As a Band 6/7 therapist, you will play a central role in assessing, delivering, and evaluating high-quality interventions that support communication development and maximise each young person’s potential.</p> <hr data-start="1173" data-end="1176"> <h2 data-start="1178" data-end="1205"><strong data-start="1181" data-end="1205">Key Responsibilities</strong></h2> <p data-start="1207" data-end="1230">In this role, you will:</p> <ul data-start="1232" data-end="1927"> <li data-start="1232" data-end="1421"> <p data-start="1234" data-end="1421">Assess, diagnose, and deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), autism, and complex learning difficulties.</p> </li> <li data-start="1422" data-end="1540"> <p data-start="1424" data-end="1540">Develop and implement individualised therapy plans in collaboration with the teaching and multidisciplinary teams.</p> </li> <li data-start="1541" data-end="1646"> <p data-start="1543" data-end="1646">Provide specialist advice and recommendations to support pupils’ communication across the school day.</p> </li> <li data-start="1647" data-end="1756"> <p data-start="1649" data-end="1756">Maintain accurate, comprehensive clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards.</p> </li> <li data-start="1757" data-end="1837"> <p data-start="1759" data-end="1837">Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, reviews, and staff consultations.</p> </li> <li data-start="1838" data-end="1927"> <p data-start="1840" data-end="1927">Offer support, guidance, or supervision to junior staff or assistants (Band 7 level).</p> </li> </ul> <hr data-start="1929" data-end="1932"> <h2 data-start="1934" data-end="1970"><strong data-start="1937" data-end="1970">Qualifications and Experience</strong></h2> <p data-start="1972" data-end="2018">To be considered for this role, you must have:</p> <ul data-start="2020" data-end="2493"> <li data-start="2020" data-end="2091"> <p data-start="2022" data-end="2091">A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).</p> </li> <li data-start="2092" data-end="2208"> <p data-start="2094" data-end="2208">HCPC registration and eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).</p> </li> <li data-start="2209" data-end="2316"> <p data-start="2211" data-end="2316">Experience working with children and young people with autism, learning ...
