This is a rewarding opportunity to work with students aged 5 to 25, all of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and are non-verbal.</p> <p data-start="971" data-end="1374">Working alongside another on-site SLT and a wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) with sensory integration expertise, you will contribute to a collaborative approach focused on improving students’ communication skills through classroom-based intervention, skill-sharing, and selective 1:1 sessions. This post is ideal for an SLT with experience in AAC, signing, Attention Autism, and Intensive Interaction.</p> <hr data-start="1376" data-end="1379"> <h3 data-start="1381" data-end="1411"><strong data-start="1385" data-end="1409">Key Responsibilities</strong></h3> <p data-start="1412" data-end="1435">In this role, you will:</p> <ul data-start="1436" data-end="2083"> <li data-start="1436" data-end="1548"> <p data-start="1438" data-end="1548">Deliver specialist speech and language therapy services for students with ASD and complex communication needs.</p> </li> <li data-start="1549" data-end="1655"> <p data-start="1551" data-end="1655">Focus on classroom-based interventions and collaborative working with teaching staff and MDT colleagues.</p> </li> <li data-start="1656" data-end="1747"> <p data-start="1658" data-end="1747">Implement and advise on low-tech AAC strategies and alternative communication approaches.</p> </li> <li data-start="1748" data-end="1877"> <p data-start="1750" data-end="1877">Contribute to skill-sharing and modelling to support the integration of communication strategies across the school environment.</p> </li> <li data-start="1878" data-end="1998"> <p data-start="1880" data-end="1998">Participate in a supportive therapy team, ensuring a child-centred and holistic approach to communication development.</p> </li> <li data-start="1999" data-end="2083"> <p data-start="2001" data-end="2083">Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with professional standards.</p> </li> </ul> <hr data-start="2085" data-end="2088"> <h3 data-start="2090" data-end="2129"><strong data-start="2094" data-end="2127">Qualifications and Experience</strong></h3> <p data-start="2130" data-end="2176">To be considered for this role, you must have:</p> <ul data-start="2177" data-end="2582"> <li data-start="2177" data-end="2246"> <p data-start="2179" data-end="2246">A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).</p> </li> <li data-start="2247" data-end="2275"> <p data-start="2249" data ...
