<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Biomedical Science Histologist<br><strong>Banding:</strong> Band 6 <br><strong>Location:</strong> Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire<br><strong>Hours:</strong> Monday - Friday, Core hours <br><strong>Start Date:</strong> ASAP <br><strong>Rate:</strong> £25 - £27 per hour (Umbrella equivalent via DE) <br><strong>Duration:</strong> Ongoing</p>
<p>We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Science Histologist to join our esteemed client in Milton Keynes. This role involves performing specialist histology procedures, including tissue sample preparation, staining, and microscopic analysis, to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. The successful candidate will work closely with pathologists and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high-quality laboratory standards and adherence to clinical guidelines.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p>The role requires expertise in histopathology, including tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and immunohistochemistry. The histologist will be responsible for analyzing tissue samples, assisting in diagnostic procedures, and providing technical advice to clinicians. Additionally, maintaining accurate laboratory records, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring compliance with UKAS accreditation standards are essential aspects of the role.</p>
<p><strong>Qualifications Experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>HCPC registration (essential).</li>
<li>Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.</li>
<li>Extensive experience in histology and tissue analysis.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.</li>
