Our focus areas include core TV technologies such as <strong>Picture Quality, Display, Audio, and System Architecture</strong>, with the goal of creating breakthrough solutions and bringing them to production.</p> <p>We are seeking a <strong>System Architect</strong> to join our growing Roku TV team in <strong>Hsinchu, Taiwan</strong>.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>About the role</strong><strong> </strong></p> <p>Roku is looking for a <strong>Consumer Products System Architect</strong> with deep experience in TV system architecture, strong hands-on technical skills, and excellent communication abilities to collaborate across internal teams and external partners.</p> <p>This is a unique opportunity for a senior technical leader who thrives on independence, visibility, and responsibility. If you are curious, proactive, and comfortable making data-driven decisions in ambiguous situations, this role is for you.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>What you’ll be doing</strong></p> <p>In this role, you will work closely with <strong>industry partners, SoC vendors, universities, ODMs, and component suppliers</strong>. Your responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Innovate and define future TV system architectures in collaboration with Product Management, engineering teams, and external vendors</li> <li>Engage with SoC and component vendors to understand and influence their technology roadmaps</li> <li>Own and manage an innovation roadmap to integrate hardware differentiation into Roku OS</li> <li>Collaborate with Roku engineering teams to identify opportunities for unique user experiences and the hardware capabilities required to deliver them</li> <li>Design and prototype hardware and software proof-of-concepts using Roku reference designs and/or FPGA prototyping</li> <li>Stay ahead of technology and market trends</li> <li>Participate in standards bodies to help shape future industry standards</li> <li>Solve complex technical challenges impacting our users</li> </ul> <p>You will leverage your leadership skills, business acumen, and technical expertise in areas such as <strong>AI/ML, Picture Quality, Display, Audio, and Connectivity</strong> to set the system architecture direction for Roku TVs.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>We’re excited if you have</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>10+ years</strong> of experience in leadership roles within TV engineering</li> <li>Proven track record in architecting system solutions for consumer products</li> <li>Hands-on experience in several of the following: <strong>AI/ML, SoC Architecture, Picture Quality, Video Processing, Display Technology, Audio Processing</strong></li> <li>Strong understanding of hardware and TV manufacturing processes</li> <li>Solid knowledge of <stro ...
