</div></div><p><strong>The Role:</strong></p>
<p>This role is part of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team within Independent Risk Management (IRM). Its primary responsibilities include being the central role in fulfilling the position of a Business Unit Risk Officer as well as setting requirements for the company-wide framework to assess New Products and Change Initiatives. This includes development and ongoing governance of risk management practices for products offered internationally. </p>
<p><strong>What you’ll do: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Serve as the first point of contact and escalation path for risk matters within the assigned businesses.</li>
<li>Advise business leadership on risk implications of strategic initiatives, product changes, market entry/exit decisions, and operational transformations.</li>
<li>Lead IRM deal teams in partnership with the Business Compliance Officer, and coordinate inputs from functional risk leads to produce a holistic IRM point of view.</li>
<li>Influence and challenge senior management constructively, ensuring balanced risk/reward decisions.</li>
<li>Establish and oversee policy requirements for the assessment of new, modified and expanded products as well as business change initiatives.</li>
<li>Provide second-line oversight of the end-to-end product lifecycle to ensure alignment with the bank’s risk appetite, regulatory expectations, and strategic objectives.</li>
<li>Define minimum risk management standards for new, modified, or expanded products across all risk types (credit, market, liquidity, operational, compliance, etc.).</li>
<li>Architect the ongoing IRM operating model for products globally, establishing the governance structures, policies, and monitoring standards necessary to identify, measure, manage, and escalate risk across risk categories.</li>
<li>Establish clear new product approval thresholds, documentation standards, and escalation protocols.</li>
<li>Set expectations for post-launch product review and performance monitoring.</li>
<li>Serve as the central IRM lead partnering across IRM in developing ongoing international risk management requirements and country-level risk governance structures, including risk appetite, limits, policies, and reporting.</li>
<li>Adapt the ERM framework to local regulatory and risk environments while maintaining global consistency.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What you’ll need:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field.</li>
<li>12+ years of experience in risk management within financial services, with exposure to multiple risk disciplines, including experience operating under globally recognized regulatory regimes.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience building Independent Risk Management practices, implementing risk frameworks, or overseeing risk governance across multiple regions.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of principles across risk categories including credit, operational, market, and financial-crime risk.</li>
