CFO

We have an opportunity for an experienced and dynamic CFO into Octopus Energy Services, responsible for driving the rollout of low carbon technologies in homes across the UK. In this role, you will lead our core finance functions - Financial Management & Accounting, Financial Operations, Financial Risk, and Pricing. You will also support our Strategic Finance team in financial planning. You'll sit on the leadership team and report into our OES CEO (and work closely with the Group Co-Founder and CFO) partnering with other senior leaders across our low carbon tech teams, flexibility and manufacturing. Octopus energy is our shareholder and funds significant deployment through OES so you'll need to think like an owner whilst building for growth! It's a high complexity team we're serious about investing into low carbon installations and creating propositions that are new to the market for our customers. You'll balance margin, cash, whilst gaining scaling volume fast and protecting unit economics as we grow is critical. You’ll be responsible for performance, planning and development across each area in finance including leading a team of exceptional people to unlock their full potential. Operationally this isn't just a desk job, think about engineers across the country, supply chains to manage, depots to stock and all of that must flex with demand; you'll need to be comfortable challenging conventional thinking.
