This is a collaborative high-impact team of 10 engineers and a key part of our broader 30-person software engineering organization. </div> <div> </div> <div>As a Full-Stack Engineer on the Insights team, you will play a central role in developing customer-facing analytics, integrations with customer systems, and mission-critical APIs and services. Your work will power real-time decisions that help protect and manage satellites and other objects in low-earth orbit.</div> <div> </div> <div>The Insights team builds and maintains:</div> <div>· Web-based UIs and applications</div> <div>· Backend services and business logic</div> <div>· Integrations between systems and APIs</div> <div>· Deployments to cloud and on-site environments</div> <div>· Interfaces with LeoLabs’ data lake</div> <div> </div> <div>We leverage services built and maintained by other LeoLabs teams, including radar development and operations and catalog maintenance. </div> <div> </div> <div>While this role will be primarily focused on delivery of back-end services, some experience with front-end development is desirable.</div> <div> </div> <div>What You’ll Do:</div> <div>· Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-based backend services and APIs</div> <div>· Collaborate with front-end engineers, data teams, and infrastructure to deliver full-feature solutions</div> <div>· Ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of production systems</div> <div>· Integrate with internal and customer-facing systems using secure, robust practices</div> <div>· Deploy services to both cloud and on-site environments</div> <div>· Participate in the full Agile development lifecycle: planning, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance</div> <div>· Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, tooling, and architecture</div> <div> </div> <div>Qualifications:</div> <div>· B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience </div> <div>· 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in a fast-paced development environment. </div> <div>· Extensive experience designing, building, testing, deploying and maintaining cloud-based software services and APIs.</div> <div>· Significant expertise in Python is required, with additional experience in languages such as Go or C++ considered a plus.</div> <div>· Strong knowledge of software development and testing methodologies, best practices, and industry standards. </div> <div>· Experience with cloud environments like AWS/GCP/Azure.</div> <div>· Experience with databases like Postgres/MySQL.</div> <div>· Experience building message-driven applications with tools such as Kafka and SQS.</div> <div>· Solid understanding of Agile workflows and principles. </div> <div>· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate ...
