<div><strong>Overview</strong> </div>
<div>LeoLabs is seeking a <strong>Launch Orbit Support Engineer </strong>to join our Launch and Orbit Support Team. In this role, you will support real-time space operations and orbital intelligence, contributing directly to launch tracking, orbit determination, and customer-facing mission support. </div>

<div>This is a hands-on, operations-focused position offering exposure to cutting-edge radar systems, orbital analytics, and live mission environments. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and operators to improve tooling, workflows, and operational efficiency while supporting critical customer missions. </div>

<div><strong>What You’ll Do</strong> </div>
<div>· Provide operational support for Launch and Early Operations (LEOP) products during orbital launches </div>
<div>· Perform manual Orbit Determination (OD) tasks, including filter tuning and tracking data validation </div>
<div>· Monitor and maintain orbit quality using internal tools and Python-based workflows </div>
<div>· Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to time-sensitive operational events </div>
<div>· Triage and respond to customer inquiries related to orbit data, launch tracking, and catalog accuracy </div>
<div>· Contribute to the development, testing, and documentation of internal tools and operational workflows </div>
<div>· Identify repetitive operational tasks and help design and implement automation strategies to improve reliability and efficiency </div>

<div><strong>What You Bring</strong> </div>
<div>· Bachelor’s degree in Astrodynamics, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field </div>
<div>· Foundational knowledge of orbital mechanics and space operations </div>
<div>· Experience using Python, MATLAB, Julia, or similar scientific scripting tools </div>
<div>· Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills </div>
<div>· Ability to work effectively in time-sensitive, operational environments </div>
<div> </div>
<div><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong> </div>
<div>· Experience with tools and technologies such aspandas, NumPy, matplotlib, SQL, Git, Docker, Unix/Linux </div>
<div>· Familiarity with Orbit Determination tools(e.g., AGI ODTK or similar) </div>
<div>· Exposure to automation, data pipelines, or operational analytics </div>

<div><strong>What You’ll Achieve</strong> </div>
<div>· <strong>Within 1 month: </strong>Complete onboarding, gain familiarity with LeoLabs systems, and begin shadowing live operations </div>
<div>· <strong>Within 3 months: </strong>Actively support LEOP missions, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to technical projects </div>
<div>· <strong>Within 6 months: </strong>Deliver improvements to internal tooling or workflows and present project outcomes to the team </div>
