Job Description

Edelman is a voice synonymous with trust, reimagining a future where the currency of communication is action. Our culture thrives on three promises: boldness is possibility, empathy is progress, and curiosity is momentum. At Edelman, we understand diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) transform our colleagues, our company, our clients, and our communities. We are in relentless pursuit of an equitable and inspiring workplace that is respectful of all, reflects and represents the world in which we live, and fosters trust, collaboration and belonging. We at Edelman are the Trust Makers. We are a global, independently owned communications agency that builds and strengthens trust between people, brands, businesses, and organizations. Our 6,000 employees across more than 60 offices develop communication strategies that help our clients earn the trust of their stakeholders — empowering them to lead and act with conviction. Our Brand and Corporate Reputation experts work hand in hand, combining data-driven strategies with deep industry expertise. This integrated approach reflects the world around us — seamlessly connected and constantly evolving. Bringing brands to life, telling brand stories in a fresh and engaging way, reaching new audiences without compromising the brand’s core — this has always been one of our greatest strengths. Particularly in the food, FMCG, healthcare, and technology sectors, numerous companies trust us to shape their brand strategies and guide them in effective brand management. To bring this vision to life, we are looking for you to join our 12-month traineeship within our Health Practice, under a permanent employment contract, at one of our offices in Cologne, Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, or Munich. What to expect You’ll gain hands-on experience in healthcare marketing and healthcare PR. You’ll learn how to effectively apply the marketing mix within the healthcare industry. You’ll support the team in developing multi-channel communication strategies and campaigns and help implement them across both online and offline channels. You’ll write and edit various types of content for different audiences — from professional to consumer communications. You’ll evaluate diverse communication and marketing activities. You’ll communicate regularly with key stakeholders: colleagues, clients, service providers, and partner agencies. You’ll work as part of an international team and exchange ideas on trends and projects with colleagues from other global offices. What you bring A university degree, for example in Business Administration or Media Studies. Ideally, some initial experience gained through internships or working student roles in marketing, healthcare, consumer goods, or lifestyle — preferably in an agency environment. A strong talent for communication with excellent English skills and solid command of MS Office. An analytical mindset, combined with a proactive, hands-on approach. A creative sense for visuals and storytelling and curiosity about current trends. And most importantly: a genuine interest in healthcare communication and enthusiasm for complex health topics — if that sounds like you, you’ll fit right in! What the traineeship means for you You’ll start with a permanent employment contract from day one. During the 12-month traineeship, you’ll receive an above-average monthly salary of €2,500 plus a monthly travel allowance of €70. Looking for a long-term perspective? So are we! Upon successful completion, you’ll be promoted to Account Executive with a monthly salary of €3,000. Your personal and professional development is a top priority for us — you’ll have access to a wide range of training and development opportunities. Connect with other trainees across practices during our exciting Trainee Camp and networking events. What we offer Work in a diverse, creative team of talented people from all over the world.
