Job Description
<p>We’re looking for a Senior Staff Data Analyst, GTM Operations to innovate, establish and sustain data capabilities that provide meaningful insights on business strategies. Reporting to the VP, GTM Strategy and Insights, you will design analytical tools, dashboards and other visualization techniques that’ll help us achieve our key business objectives. In this role, you’ll create and interpret Go To Market performance data and reporting, provide deep and thoughtful analysis, and generate actionable insights. You’ll collaborate with senior leaders across the organization to drive results by creating visibility into performance results, mining data for trends and insights, and acting as a business partner to solve business problems.</p>
<p><strong>WHAT YOU’LL DO:</strong><strong><br></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Define best practices by conducting research and transforming data into insights that drive decision-making, execution, and investments for Hootsuite</li>
<li>Build partnerships and alignment with our internal data partners, including Data Technology, Product Analytics and Business Intelligence, to author, develop and document core data sets and empower operational and exploratory analysis</li>
<li>Provide advice and guidance on innovative data models, analytics and approaches to manage and present complex datasets into engaging and thought provoking stories through dashboards and other data visualization techniques</li>
<li>Be accountable for curating and analyzing large sets of go-to-market and operations data from multiple disparate sources, while developing, verifying, and validating analytics and reporting to address customer needs and resolve current business insights gaps</li>
<li>Responsible for data quality, consistency, reliability and integrity to support business planning and reporting initiatives</li>
<li>Identify and recommend opportunities for growth, and in building analyses to help prioritize opportunities and make rational project investments supported by data</li>
<li>Define and document business and analytics requirements for single source of truth data sets to be utilized across the entire business</li>
<li>Play a leading role in advancing our understanding of business conditions, developing narratives, preparing reports and presentations, and delivering presentations to senior management across the company. </li>
<li>Act as a role model to the team by sharing knowledge, insights and learning. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, quality and innovation </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>WHAT YOU’LL NEED:</strong><strong><br></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Broad varied experience in data analytics within a fast-paced business environment with multiple products, acquisition channels, and customer segments.</li>
<li>Expert-level skills in SQL, data modeling, BI tools, and reporting systems (eg. Tableau).</li>
<li>Data Management and Infrastructure experience, including quality control and assurance.</li>
<li>Entrepreneurial mindset and a proven ability to surface new insights that uncover opportunities or identify challenges, with results that lead to driving the business forward.</li>
<li>Excellent collaboration skills, with an ability to stay engaged and agile despite multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.</li>
<li>Ability to build clear and concise presentations, and communicate effectively at every level of the organization (in particular - data visualization and story-telling).</li>
<li>Impeccable project management skills and attention to detail and a strong ability to thrive in an environment of change and ambiguity.</li>
