Senior Network Security Engineer, IT Cybersecurity Team San Carlos, CA (on-site) About 1X We build humanoid robots that work alongside people to solve labor shortages and create abundance. The Role We’re seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and security of 1X’s network infrastructure across corporate, cloud, and co-located environments. You’ll ensure scalable, high-performance connectivity while upholding best practices in network security and collaborating across teams. You Will Architect, design, and implement secure and optimized network solutions for corporate offices, cloud infrastructure, and data centers Manage and execute site builds, including secure office network deployments Configure, secure, and manage wireless networks following security best practices Troubleshoot wired, wireless, and service provider connectivity issues to maximize performance and uptime Continuously optimize network performance, scalability, reliability, and security Collaborate with IT, business, and operations teams to gather requirements and deliver resilient networking solutions Develop and maintain detailed documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and policies Travel occasionally, both locally and domestically, to support site deployments or audits
