Any employment is contingent upon passing the screening.&#xa0;&#xa0;</em><strong><em>Due to Federal requirements, only US citizens, US naturalized citizens or US Permanent Residents, holding a green card, will be considered.</em></strong></p><p>The Cloud Network Services (CNS) team at ServiceNow is responsible for ensuring reliable, high-performance application traffic delivery to every ServiceNow customer around the globe. We design and operate our own cloud networking solution, blending industry-standard technologies with the power of the ServiceNow platform to automate and scale host configurations from customer requirements. Our team continuously monitors, tests, and optimizes the platform to deliver new features and maintain top-tier performance. As we evolve, our focus has expanded to embrace hybrid cloud strategies through deep integrations and partnerships with leading cloud providers, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure.</p><p>We are seeking a highly skilled <strong>Staff Network Development Engineer</strong> with extensive experience in network enablement, automation, and scripting. The ideal candidate will possess advanced network engineering expertise in both on-premises and hyperscaler cloud operations. They should be adept at developing tools, scripts, and applications, serving as the bridge between code and networks to enhance automation and improve network deployments. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of network engineers to expand our datacenter and cloud production network globally. This role is pivotal in fulfilling our customers' commitments and advancing our objectives of automation and standardization across all builds.</p><p><strong>What you get to do in this role:</strong></p><p><strong><u>Network Engineering </u></strong></p><ul><li>Actively participate in the cloud networking team, handling all proactive aspects of network deployment and orchestration.</li><li>Drive the delivery of business-critical public cloud infrastructure worldwide.</li><li>Ensure network capacity meets established business and technical requirements.</li><li>Operate and troubleshoot systems to quickly identify and resolve issues. * Manage network augmentation as the organization grows.</li><li>Take a leadership role in root cause analysis and resolution of network issues.</li><li>Participate in a rotating on-call schedule with other team members.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Orchestration and Automation </u></strong></p><ul><li>Design and code new automations and on-platform optimizations </li><li>Develop and maintain network automation pipelines using tools like Ansible, Go, Python, Bash, Terraform, etc.</li><li>Collaborate with platform teams to build, update, and enhance flow designer orchestration to maintain a unified platform for all network deployments globally.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Systems and Platform Development </u></strong></p><p>Provide feedback and partnership to infrastructure architects on design improvements and contribute to the design process for new initiatives.</p> <p><strong>To be successful in this role you have:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.</li><li>8+ years of network engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 5+ years of network engineering experience with&#xa0;a Master's degree; or 3+ years of&#xa0;experience with a PhD; ...
