Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.</p></div><h2 class="heading"><strong>About the role</strong></h2> <p>As an Incentive Compensation Systems Engineer, you will lead the technical implementation, configuration, and optimization of our incentive compensation management (ICM) platform. You will work closely with Revenue Operations, Data Engineering, Finance, Accounting, and HR to translate incentive compensation designs into scalable system configurations, ensuring accurate calculations, reliable integrations, and efficient workflows. This role is critical to building the technical foundation that enables our incentive compensation programs to operate effectively at scale.</p> <h2 class="heading"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></h2> <h3 class="heading"><strong>ICM Platform Implementation Configuration</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Lead the end-to-end implementation and configuration of our ICM platform, including plan modeling, crediting rules, quota management, and payout calculations</p> </li> <li> <p>Translate compensation plan documents into system logic, ensuring accurate and auditable calculation outputs</p> </li> <li> <p>Design and maintain system workflows for plan changes, exceptions, and adjustments</p> </li> <li> <p>Develop and execute testing strategies to validate system accuracy before each compensation cycle</p> </li> <li> <p>Provide technical guidance during plan design discussions, advising on system capabilities and constraints</p> </li> </ul> <h3 class="heading"><strong>Data Integration Architecture</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Build and maintain integrations between the ICM platform and source systems (CRM, ERP, HRIS, billing platforms)</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensure data integrity across the compensation data pipeline, from opportunity data through final payout</p> </li> <li> <p>Partner with Data Engineering and Revenue Operations to define data requirements and resolve data quality issues</p> </li> <li> <p>Document data flows, transformation logic, and system dependencies</p> </li> </ul> <h3 class="heading"><strong>System Administration Optimization</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Serve as the primary system administrator for the ICM platform, managing user access, security, and system health</p> </li> <li> <p>Identify opportunities to streamline and automate compensation processes, reducing manual intervention and cycle time</p> </li> <li> <p>Monitor system performance and troubleshoot calculation errors or integration failures</p> </li> <li> <p>Evaluate and recommend new technologies, including Claude-powered solutions, to enhance system capabilities</p> </li> </ul> <h3 class="heading"><strong>Reporting Analytics</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Build and maintain reporting infrastructure within the ICM platform to support compensation dashboards and attainment tracking</p> </li> <li> <p>Partner with Revenue Operations and Accounting to deliver accurate, timely compensation data for forecasting and accruals</p> </li> <li> <p>Enable self-service reporting for compensation administrators and business partners</p> </li> </ul> <h2 class="heading"><strong>You may be a good fit if you have:</strong></h2> <ul> <li> <p>A passion for Anthropic's mission to build safe, transformative AI systems</p> </li> <li> <p>5+ years of experience implementing or administering ICM platforms (e.g., Xactly, Varicent, Anaplan)</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong technical skills with experience in SQL, data integration tools, and system configuration</p> </li> <li> <p>Proven ability to translate business requirements into system logic and maintain accurate, auditable calculations</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience ...
