Senior Manager, Software Engineering (Java Frontend)

<p><strong>What you get to do in this role:</strong><strong>  </strong>&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Manage product development activities and oversee end-to-end engineering deliverables.</li><li>Manage team of engineers, providing technical guidance, feedback, and career development.</li><li>Work with product management, design, support, quality, and other dev teams to create high-quality solutions.</li><li>Manage daily activities of the end to end development team, ensuring engineering excellence, code quality, and delivery velocity.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives including designing testing strategies, driving test automation to enhance reliability, performance, and scalability of products and services.</li><li>Solve difficult and sometimes ambiguous problems by fostering collaboration and applying structured decision-making.</li><li>Manage departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhance and maintain a best-of-class engineering and quality team.</li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align on priorities, communicate issues, and utilize best practices.</li></ul> <p><strong>To be successful in this role you have:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This includes using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s impact on engineering practices.</li><li>Familiarity with prompt engineering, LLM API integration (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), and RAG patterns.</li><li>Experience with agentic AI frameworks and orchestration tooling</li><li>Background in platform engineering — reusable components, internal developer portals, or SDK development</li><li>14+ years of experience in software product engineering and atleast 5+ years of experience in a management position for technical teams</li><li>Strong background in modern software engineering practices and technologies relevant to large-scale enterprise products.</li><li>Deep proficiency in&#xa0;JavaScript / TypeScript , Node.js with strong command of modern web frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js</li><li>Proficiency in at least one secondary language such as Java, C++ or Python. Solid grounding in HTML5, CSS3, and web component architecture</li><li>Expert-level REST API design - resource modelling, versioning, auth (OAuth2, JWT, API Keys).</li><li>Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines — GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
