GL Accountant

<p><em>This position follows the Company’s hybrid schedule which currently requires employees to work in the Krakow Office (Fabryczna Street) a minimum of three days per week.</em></p> <p><strong>The Basics:</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented General Ledger Accountant to join our Accounting team. This role will play a key part in supporting the Company’s close, reporting, and audit processes while helping drive operational excellence in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to further develop technical and operational accounting skills while contributing to the Company’s ambitious goals. </p> <p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare monthly journal entries and associated account reconciliations.</li> <li>Prepare and post monthly journal entries in accordance with US GAAP, ensuring accuracy and completeness.</li> <li>Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.</li> <li>Prepare and analyze monthly flux and variance explanations for assigned accounts and areas, providing clear and concise insights to management.</li> <li>Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring deadlines are met in a high growth environment.</li> <li>Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls, and assist with the implementation of enhancements.</li> <li>Assist with external audits, including preparation of audit schedules, support of audit requests, and coordination with internal stakeholders</li> <li>Support intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliations and eliminations, as applicable.</li> <li>Assist with ad hoc analyses, special projects, and process initiatives as assigned. </li> </ul> <p><strong>We’re looking for someone with:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. </li> <li>2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment. </li> <li>Strong understanding of US GAAP and core accounting principles. </li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment. </li> <li>Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high level of attention to detail. </li> <li>Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and complex formulas. </li> <li>Experience with inter-company accounting; multi-currency and international experience a plus. </li> <li>Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems preferred. </li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under tight deadlines. </li> <li>Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. </li> <li>Proven team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to support broader team objectives. </li> <li>Adaptable and comfortable working in an evolving, high growth environment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About Tanium </strong></p> <div>Tanium is the Autonomous IT company.
