Senior Accountant

<p><strong>The opportunity</strong><br>Unity’s Accounting team is looking to hire a Senior Accountant who will be an integral part of our team. This role will have an immediate impact on our month-end close process as well as strengthening our overall accounting processes within the organization. The candidate should have general accounting knowledge and experience in some of the following areas: intercompany, treasury, operating expenses, capital expenditures, leasing, and payroll among other topics.</p> <p>Develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Intercompany accounting and Reconciliation, Treasury accounting. Performs the accounting processes related to various investment instruments, including convertible debt, money market funds, treasury instruments, and business combinations. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations for Investments and Intercompany accounting. Balances books and support in preparing profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements. Prepare Flux analysis for month end, quarter end, year end close .Assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, Intercompany transaction and settlement. May be involved in reviewing, tracking and maintaining entries in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and other accounting regulations.</p> <p>At Unity, you’ll make a difference. This position Shift timings will be evening hours from 2 PM to 11 PM (IST), with a 1-hour lunch break included.</p> <p><strong>What you'll be doing</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules in accordance with US GAAP</li> <li>Perform monthly PL and Balance Sheet flux analysis - Support management with company financial activities such as month, quarter and year end close</li> <li>Intercompany Transactions: Process and reconcile intercompany transactions, including invoicing, accounting. Perform monthly intercompany account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.</li> <li>Performing the accounting processes related to various investment instruments, including convertible debt, money market funds, treasury instruments, and business combinations. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards.</li> <li>Reporting and Financial Statements: Assist with monthly reporting flux analysis, and assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and SEC supporting deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What we're looking for</strong></p> <ul> <li>Close Process and Journal Entries: Conduct timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, and prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations.</li> <li>Strong Knowledge of accounting processes related to various investment instruments, including convertible debt, money market funds, treasury instruments, and business combinations. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards.</li> <li>Intercompany Transactions Reconciliation: Process and reconcile intercompany transactions, including invoicing, payments, and allocations. Perform monthly intercompany account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
