Solutions Engineering Manager

<p>As the Manager of Solutions Engineering, you will lead a specialized team of engineers who bridge the gap between our core products and real-world, field-deployed environments. This role is uniquely challenging: you aren't just managing software deployments; you are overseeing the physical integration of our technology into complex, diverse hardware ecosystems.</p> <p>You will lead your team through the entire lifecycle of a customer engagement—from initial discovery and site surveys to the final hardware/software "handshake" in the field.</p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities and Duties</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Team Leadership Mentorship:</strong> Lead and scale a team of Solutions Engineers. You will provide technical guidance on complex integrations and foster a culture of proactive problem-solving</li> <li><strong>Accountability: </strong>Work directly with stakeholders throughout the company and keep the bar high for your exceptional team. You will have a close relationship with the Director of Hardware, CTO, CEO and VP of Engineering</li> <li><strong>Field Deployment Oversight:</strong> Manage the technical strategy for deploying applications in "non-standard" environments. This includes overseeing hardware site readiness, connectivity challenges, and environmental constraints</li> <li><strong>Architectural Strategy:</strong> Act as the lead architect for high-stakes customer integrations. You will ensure that the hardware-to-software interface (API, firmware, or edge computing layers) is robust and scalable</li> <li><strong>Stakeholder Management:</strong> Serve as the primary technical liaison for enterprise customers. You will translate customer business requirements into technical deployment plans that account for hardware latency, power constraints, and data throughput</li> <li><strong>Feedback Loop Optimization:</strong> Work closely with Product and RD teams to communicate field-testing results and hardware compatibility issues, ensuring our product evolves to meet real-world edge cases</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Qualifications and Skills</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Hardware/Software Fluency</strong>: 8+ years of experience in technical roles, with at least 3 years specifically focused on Hardware/Software Integration (e.g., IoT, robotics, industrial automation, or edge computing)</li> <li><strong>Leadership Experience</strong>: 3+ years managing a technical, customer-facing team (Solutions Architects, Field Engineers, or Sales Engineers)</li> <li><strong>Field Deployment Expertise</strong>: Hands-on experience with field-deployed applications where "turning it off and on again" isn't always an option.
