TA Partner (Contractor)

We’re looking for a Technical Talent Partner to support the rapid growth of our RD and niche engineering teams across the India region. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who enjoys owning complex searches, partnering deeply with business leaders, and building strong talent pipelines in competitive markets - while also helping improve how we hire at scale. A day in the life (Responsibilities) Partner closely with Hiring Managers and business leaders across Engineering and niche technical functions to build strong, future-ready talent pipelines aligned to Toast’s mission and culture. Own end-to-end recruiting for senior and hard-to-hire technical roles, from intake and sourcing through offer and close. Proactively source and engage high-quality, diverse candidates using creative and data-driven strategies. Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by sharing market insights, hiring trends, and competitive intelligence to influence hiring decisions and expectations. Deliver an exceptional candidate experience and ensure consistent, high-quality interview processes. Collaborate with partners across the People Places team (People Success, Total Rewards, TA Ops) and cross-functional teams like Finance to drive hiring outcomes. Use data and funnel insights to identify gaps, improve processes, and continuously raise the bar on hiring quality and efficiency. Contribute to TA projects and process improvements as we continue to scale across India. What you'll need to thrive (Requirements) 5-8 years of recruiting experience, with strong focus on senior and niche technical hiring in fast-growing or product-led environments. Proven ability to source, assess, and close top technical talent in highly competitive markets. Strong experience partnering with senior hiring managers and influencing through data and market insights. Comfortable working in ambiguous, evolving environments and adapting as business needs change. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across levels and functions. Deep commitment to candidate experience, diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the hiring process. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
