As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer on the Uber Direct team, you will define and build intelligent systems that improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and predictive capabilities in real-time logistics at global scale. You’ll partner closely with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams to design, deploy, and continually enhance our merchant facing solutions, improve onboarding and retention. **What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points** \-\-\-\- What the Candidate Will Do ---- 1. Lead and grow a team of engineers and managers responsible for mission-critical merchant facing services. 2. Drive multi-quarter technical strategy, architecture, and execution across partner teams in India. 3. Improve system scalability, reliability, and developer velocity while maintaining high quality bars. 4. Partner closely with Product, Data, and Design to deliver impactful merchant experiences. 5. Coach and develop senior engineers and emerging leaders; raise the talent bar through hiring. \-\-\-\- Basic Qualifications ---- 1. 14+ years of industry experience with extensive tech leadership experience 2. Track record of delivering large, cross-team initiatives with high reliability, availability, and product impact. 3. Experience hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing engineers and engineering leaders. 4.
