Remote Staff/Principal Backend Engineer We’re looking for a Staff/Principal Backend Engineer to help build and maintain the APIs and services powering Framer. You’ll work on scalable, high-performance systems that support real-time collaboration, seamless publishing, and much more. What you’ll do Build and maintain efficient, well-documented APIs and services. Make critical decisions on technology, scalability, and performance. Collaborate with engineers and designers to ship impactful features. Define and implement backend architecture and infrastructure strategies. Ensure code quality through reviews, mentoring, and standards adherence. Focus on building robust systems that scale. What you’ll bring 9+ years of software engineering experience at a product company.  Strong expertise in Go. Familiarity with TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js.  Experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems.  Familiarity with microservices, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure (AWS).  Strong organizational and self-management skills.  A focus on quality, scalability, and performance.
