The Transportation team provides high level customer service that drives overall sales and customer satisfaction. You will safely move, stage and park vehicles and drive vehicles through the auction lanes. </p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Drive vehicles to and from customer or vendor lots while observing auction driving rules, rules of the road and demonstrating courteous and defensive driving principles.</li> <li>Drive assigned vehicles through auction lanes on sale day. Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.</li> <li>Verify VIN of cars being picked up and or delivered against transportation requests.</li> <li>Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed </li> <li>Move vehicles and locate vehicles</li> <li>Inflate tires and jump-start vehicles using a battery box and air tank.</li> <li>Notify manager when vehicles are inoperable.</li> <li>Dispense fuel.</li> <li>Perform walk-around of each vehicle prior to moving vehicle and note damage.</li> <li>Make sure customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention by providing excellent customer service and respond to all inquiries in a timely manner. </li> <li>Maintain a professional appearance, orderly work environment and friendly disposition by greeting customers and guests promptly and with courtesy.</li> <li>Report any breakdowns or accidents immediately to your manager</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements</li> <li>Must be able to follow directions and work in a team environment</li> <li>Drive a variety of make/model/sizes of vehicles</li> <li>Basic Reading and number comprehension skills to understand lot organization, safety, and directions.</li> <li>Must be able to read and comprehend motor vehicle traffic signs</li> <li>Ability to operate a vehicle with a standard transmission preferred </li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, loud environment</li> <li>Ability to climb in and out of vehicles and a passenger van frequently throughout the day</li> <li>Must be able to walk in parking lots and around other vehicles in all weather conditions</li> <li>Effective interpersonal skills</li> </ul> <p><strong>ADESA Benefits and Perks</strong></p> <p>Competitive Pay | Quality Benefits | Holiday and Paid Time Off | Education and Equipment Reimbursement Programs | Matching 401(k) | Career Path Opportunities | And More!</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Other Requirements</strong></p> <p>To be able to do your job at ADESA, there are some basic requirements we ...
