At LeoLabs, the Hardware Engineering Team designs, develops, manufactures, and deploys the advanced radar systems that provide persistent orbital intelligence to our customers worldwide. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead advanced PCB layout, schematic design, and electrical integration across LeoLabs’ next-generation radar hardware. You will serve as the team’s eCAD domain expert—owning Altium library management, layout standards, and design governance—while contributing directly to the development of complex, high-performance electronics. Occasional international travel may be required to support hardware deployment and site activities. This role reports directly to the </p> <p> </p> <p>Hardware Engineering Manager. <span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p> <p><span data-contrast="auto">Responsibilities</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p> <ul> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Lead PCB layout and collaborate on schematic design for radar subsystems including power, control, timing, and RF </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Own and maintain LeoLabs’ Altium libraries, templates, and eCAD standards across multiple design teams.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Develop and communicate best practices for layout, stack-up, grounding, and routing of high-speed and high-current designs.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Collaborate closely with RF, mechanical, and embedded software engineers to ensure robust integration.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Interface with manufacturers to drive DFM/DFT improvements and resolve production issues.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Support prototype bring-up, board validation, and troubleshooting through hands-on lab testing.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Contribute to overall electrical architecture and system-level design reviews.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li> </ul> <p><span data-contrast="auto"><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></span></p> <p><span data-contrast="auto">Basic Qualifications</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p> <ul> <li><span data-contrast="auto">BSEE (or equivalent) with 7+ years of experience in PCB design for complex mixed-signal systems.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Expert proficiency in Altium Designer, including library and database management.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Proven ability to take designs from schematic through layout, fabrication, and bring-up.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong understanding of PCB manufacturing processes, materials, and t ...
