As we continue to grow our global audience and expand across platforms, we are seeking a visionary <strong>Senior Director of Product for Consumer Apps</strong> to lead the evolution of the core Roblox experience.</p> <p>This is a pivotal executive leadership role focused on delivering best-in-class product performance, usability, and innovation across all platforms—mobile, console, XR, and web. You will be responsible for crafting and executing a multi-platform product strategy that brings Roblox to life for hundreds of millions of users worldwide, with the polish, performance, and feature set expected of top-tier consumer gaming and entertainment apps.</p> <p>This role reports to the VP of Product, User + Discovery Groups and is based in San Mateo, CA. </p> <h3><strong>You Will:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Define and drive the product vision and strategy for the Roblox consumer application across all supported devices - mobile, desktop, console, XR, and web. Balance building for universal, cross-platform consistency, while also delivering a seamless, high-performance, and engaging experience that feels tailored to each device.<br><br></li> <li>Set and execute the roadmap for Roblox’s multi-platform presence, including next-gen console support (e.g., PS5), mobile performance optimization, web architecture improvements, and XR innovation.<br><br></li> <li>Champion platform-specific optimization—load times, app size, UI frame rates—so the Roblox experience is as performant and responsive as the world’s leading gaming apps.<br><br></li> <li>Lead product development for our universal core consumer-facing UI, navigation systems, and frontend architecture, enabling intuitive exploration, discovery, and gameplay across use cases.<br><br></li> <li>Scale and empower a high-caliber team of product managers; foster a culture of speed, experimentation, technical rigor, and cross-functional collaboration.<br><br></li> <li>Partner closely with engineering and design to develop and deploy universal, shared code foundations (C++, Luau, React), supporting Roblox’s mission of platform universality and extensibility.<br><br></li> <li>Deliver on Roblox’s ambition to be the most performant and delightful entertainment platform, meeting and exceeding the expectations of a global gaming audience.<br><br></li> <li>Communicate roadmap, progress, and strategy to the Roblox executive team and align key stakeholders across the company.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>You Have:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>12+ years of product leadership experience, with a strong emphasis on gaming, entertainment, or large-scale consumer platforms.<br><br></li> <li>A growth GM mindset - not only owning the product strategy and roadmap, but acting as the driving force behind the quality, performance, and growth of the app across platf ...
