Our vision is to reimagine the way people come together, from anywhere in the world, and on any device.</span><strong> </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">We’re on a mission to connect a billion people with optimism and civility, and looking for amazing talent to help us get there. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A career at Roblox means you’ll be working to shape the future of human interaction, solving unique technical challenges at scale, and helping to create safer, more civil shared experiences for everyone.</span></p></div><p> </p> <p>As a Senior Software Engineer, Communications, you’ll be in charge of building rich, immersive and engaging user communication experiences to empower safe and seamless ways for people and our creators to express themselves in different modalities better than in real life with Voice, Camera, and Text, at scale in both 2D and 3D space</p> <p>You will work closely with different teams (Avatar, game engine, Creator, Trust Safety, other product teams) to build experiences that millions of users engage with on a daily basis, while keeping them safe and civil. </p> <p>If you are someone who is passionate about the future of human communication and wants to envision creative ways to enable highly engaging communication features while upholding high bar for safety, then this team is the right place for you</p> <p><strong>You Will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Devise creative solutions to optimize and scale our systems to support communication for a billion people on the platform.</li> <li>Introduce and improve our processes to help us be more effective and efficient.</li> <li>Use best programming practices, optimizing code to be performant</li> <li>Instrumental in launching high quality real time communication products/features on mobile devices and high end platforms</li> <li>Enforce high quality standards while we iterate on feature development.</li> </ul> <p><strong>You Have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience as a front-end or client apps engineer working on complex user interfaces, in close collaboration with product and design partners</li> <li>2+ years working on large-scale consumer applications in React/Redux, React Native, iOS, Android, Windows, Mac OS and other platforms.</li> <li>Well versed in performance monitoring, profiling and optimization</li> <li>Bachelor's degree (or equivalent professional experience) in Computer Science</li> <li>Having experience in Lua is a bonus.</li> <li>Experience with C++</li> <li>Experience with product experimentation (A/B tests, holdouts etc.)</li> <li>Experience in analyzing improving client performance, optimizing device memory and framerate.</li> <li>Experience building games with Roblox Studio</li> </ul> <p><strong>You Are:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Fascinated by UX (and UI):</strong> You love to build delightful user experiences for millions of users.
