You will drive company-level objectives for friend co-experience and user retention. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive on building scalable, developer facing and user-facing products that blend technical depth with creative impact.</p> <p><strong>You Will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and build engaging, high-performance social connection features across Roblox Platform.</li> <li>Own projects end to end, from design and architecture to launch and iteration, driving measurable impact on friend co-experience and user retention.</li> <li>Collaborate with engineers across product, safety, and infrastructure teams to define best practices and align on scalable solutions.</li> <li>Identify gaps in performance, testing, and experimentation workflows, and lead improvements that make the team more effective and efficient.</li> <li>Uphold high standards of technical quality and user experience while rapidly iterating on new features.</li> <li>Contribute to a strong, inclusive team culture by helping refine processes, mentoring peers, and supporting each other’s success.</li> <li>Help recruit and grow future talent who share our passion for building the next generation of social connection features on Roblox.</li> </ul> <p><strong>You Have: </strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience as a front-end or client apps engineer working on complex user interfaces in close collaboration with product and design partners.</li> <li>Experience working on large-scale consumer applications in React/Redux, React Native, iOS, Android, Windows, Mac OS and other platforms.</li> <li>Knowledge of testing methodologies, including tools like Jest, React Testing Library or other comparable technologies. </li> <li>Passion for quality user interfaces and user experience, experience working with that.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below.
