<div class="p-rich_text_section"> <h1><strong>Engineering Manager – RV Camping Vertical</strong></h1> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Australia (Remote)</p> <p><strong>Summary </strong></p> <p>Storable is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead software development for our RV Camping vertical (powered by Newbook). This leader will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative, scalable technology that transforms how RV parks and campgrounds manage operations and engage guests. </p> <p>As the Engineering Manager for our RV Camping platform, you’ll be responsible for leading the development of cloud-native SaaS solutions used by RV parks, campgrounds, and resorts worldwide. You’ll combine deep technical leadership with strong people management and cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable, high-performing, and scalable products. </p> <h3><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h3> <h4><strong>Strategic Technical Leadership</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Define and execute a product-aligned engineering strategy that advances Storable’s RV Camping platform.</li> <li>Translate business priorities into actionable engineering roadmaps with clear KPIs and milestones.</li> <li>Oversee the design, development, and scaling of cloud-native applications serving global customers.</li> <li>Ensure the stability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical applications.</li> <li>Lead modernization initiatives to evolve legacy systems into distributed, service-oriented architectures.</li> <li>Anticipate and mitigate technical risks, embedding resilience into infrastructure and applications.</li> <li>Champion best-in-class engineering practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and automated testing.</li> <li>Standardize development processes across distributed teams to accelerate delivery without sacrificing quality.</li> <li>Continuously refine workflows to improve velocity, reliability, and cost-efficiency.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with Newbook’s Product and Operations leadership to align technology delivery with platform roadmap goals.<br><br></li> </ul> <h4><strong>Operational Excellence People Leadership</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Recruit, build, and retain high-performing engineering teams across Australia and global hubs.</li> <li>Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.</li> <li>Establish and lead incident response protocols to ensure uptime and rapid resolution of production issues.</li> <li>Drive security-first development practices and readiness for regulatory and compliance frameworks.</li> <li>Define and track engineering performance indicators (e.g., velocity, uptime, release quality, cost efficiency).</li> <li>Provide regular reporting and insight to senior leadership on progress, outcomes, and opportunities for improvement.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Collaboration Stakeholder Engagement</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Partner with Product, Operations, and Client Success to align technology delivery with user and business needs.</li> <li>Serve as a transparent communicator with stakeholders across Australia, the U.S., and India.</li> <li>Influence roadmap decisions using data, technical insight, and a strong customer-first lens.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What You Bring</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.</li> <li>7+ years of progressive software engineering leadership experience, including managing distributed teams.</li> <li>Proven track record delivering SaaS products at scale in fast-paced, growth environments.</li> <li>Strong technical background building products in PHP and React.</li> <li>Hands-on success transitioning from legacy systems to cloud-native, microservices-based architectures.</li> <li>Deep understanding of AWS, scalable infrastructure, data pipelines, and application security.</li> <li>Strong experience with Agile/Lean development and organizational process improvement.</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills w ...
