In this role, you will drive technical strategy, architecture, and hands-on implementation across multiple AI initiatives, working with advanced LLMs (OpenAI/ChatGPT, Anthropic Claude, Amazon Bedrock) and a Python-centric infrastructure built on AWS.</p> <p>This is a senior individual-contributor position for engineers who can both <strong>set direction</strong> and <strong>build production-grade systems</strong>. You will partner closely with product, architecture, design, and engineering leaders to shape how AI is integrated across our product ecosystem. Success in this role requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to influence across teams, and a strong leadership presence in a cross-department environment.</p> <h2><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Technical Leadership Architecture</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Define and drive the technical vision for AI-powered features and platform components.</li> <li>Architect scalable, secure, and resilient backend systems and pipelines.</li> <li>Evaluate, design, and implement solutions using OpenAI, Anthropic, and Bedrock foundation models.</li> <li>Establish best practices for prompt engineering, model evaluation, data flows, and AI system reliability.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Hands-On Software Development</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Build robust backend services and APIs using <strong>Python</strong> (FastAPI, Flask, etc).</li> <li>Integrate LLMs into production workflows, including fine-tuning, RAG, orchestration, agent frameworks, and embeddings.</li> <li>Develop cloud-native systems using <strong>AWS services</strong> such as EKS, Kubernetes, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Step Functions, and SageMaker.</li> <li>Implement observability, automated testing, CI/CD, and operational tooling.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Partner with product managers to translate AI concepts into scalable engineering solutions.</li> <li>Coach and mentor engineers across multiple teams, driving engineering excellence.</li> <li>Lead design reviews, architecture discussions, and cross-team technical initiatives.</li> </ul> <h1><strong>Qualifications</strong></h1> <h2><strong>Required</strong></h2> <ul> <li>10+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years in a senior or staff-level role.</li> <li>Deep proficiency in <strong>Python</strong>, including asynchronous programming, package design, and performance optimization.</li> <li>Experience with Postgres, ReactJS, NextJS.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with <strong>LLM platforms</strong> such as:</li> <ul> <li>OpenAI (ChatGPT, GPT models)</li> <li>Anthropic Claude</li> <li>Amazon Bedrock (Titan, Claude, Mistral, etc.)</li> </ul> <li>Strong background building distributed systems or large-scale backend services.</li> <li>Expertise using<strong> AWS cloud services</strong> in production environments.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to lead architecture, mentor teams, and influence technical direction.</li> <li>Solid understanding of security, compliance, authentication, and data privacy in cloud environments.</li> <li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to varied audiences.</li> <li>Proven ability to work effectively across departments, influencing without authority and building strong relationships with engineering, product, design, and business stakeholders.</li> <li>Experience driving collaborative initiatives and leading through ambiguity in fast-paced environments.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Preferred</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Experience with vector databases (ChromaDB, Pinecone, etc).</li> <li>Knowledge of ...
